Trout Involved in Blockbuster trade

In early February, the Seattle Rainiers and the Portland Microbrewers were involved in a mammoth blockbuster deal that involved centerpiece Mike Trout, "The Face of the League", 4 other players and four 1st round draft picks.

Portland drafted Trout 1st overall draft pick in the inaugural 2013 BoS Draft, and helped the Microbrewers reach 4 World Series, while winning their 2nd World Championship last season over the Corktown Tamales.

Seattle acquired the outfielder Trout, along with third baseman Matt Chapman, while the Microbrewers acquired OF/IF Wil Myers, starting pitcher Walker Buehler, pitcher Sandy Alcantara and four 1st round draft picks. Seattle acquired three of those 1st rounders in three separate trades involving three different BoS franchises; Portland acquired those picks along with Seattle's 1st round draft pick.

Portland now owns the 2nd, 13th, 14th & 16th overall picks in the 1st round of the upcoming 2019 BoS Annual Draft.

Speculation is that Portland would likely take either pitcher/dh Shohei Ohtani, or one of the two outfielders Ronald Acuna Jr or Juan Soto -- depending on whoever the South Side Spartans take at #1 overall.
