Chicago 9-0 (Nov 17th, Part 3)

The Machine Keeps Pumping Out Wins

Not to sound like a broken record player, but the Chicago Machine once again won, defeating a tough Carolina Aviators team. The Aviators were victim by bad shooting and bad miscues, as Chicago improves to 9-0, and Carolina sits at at 5-5. Chicago hosts a bad Toronto Paladins team next, but could lose one of their next two games with back-to-back meetings with the King, LeBron James and the Cleveland Guardians. The Guardians host the Machine on November 21st, while the Machine will host Cleveland two days later on the 23rd.

Speaking of the Guardians, Cleveland defeated the Pittsburgh Pipers by a basket, led by Brad Daugherty's 26 points & 7 rebounds. LeBron wasn't much of a factor in this one, while it was the 90's Cavs gang of Daugherty, along with Larry Nance Sr, Mark Price & Craig Ehlo that got things done.

With Cleveland defeating division foe Pittsburgh and improving to 8-2, the Guardians now sit alone in 2nd place. The Detroit Motors and Pipers are tied in 3rd with strong 7-3 records, while the Milwaukee Hawks and Indianapolis Crusaders are much further back in the rearview mirror.

Out west, we witnessed victories by the Houston Roughnecks, Denver Range, and the San Antonio Bullets. The Salt Lake City Hornets may have Karl Malone and John Stockton decorating the Leaders boards, but their strong stats have not been enough for a team that has now fallen to 3-7. The Dallas Mustangs (briefly the Broncos) have come down to Earth, losing 4 of their last 6 games.

Houston who just defeated Salt Lake, have quietly won 4 straight games, improving to 7-3 -- while continuing to be an overlooked toughie as Chicago & New Orleans keep stealing the headlines.
