Both New York Teams Defeat Better-on-Paper Atlantic Division Foes

The Brooklyn Bolts and the New York Gothams defeated two teams easily in the Philadelphia Warriors and Boston Shamrocks. Both the Warriors and Shamrocks are considered better teams on paper, but both have disappointed with .500 records early on in this UBL Basketball season. The Bolts' Chris Morris (pictured above) was great on both ends for Brooklyn, scoring 23 points, while picking up 6 steals and 7 rebounds.

In case anyone was wondering, the single-game steals record sits at 7 steals, shared by Larry Brown (NO), John Stockton (SLC), Oscar Robertson (KC), Isiah Thomas (LV) and Chris Paul (HOU).

In the Gothams-Shamrocks matchup, the trifecta of big men for New York in Patrick Ewing, Kristops Porzingis, and Willis Reed was too much for Boston to overcome, as the trio combined for 70 points and 30 rebounds.

In other Atlantic Division action, the Washington Federals were edged, 95-94 by the Louisville Troopers, and the Toronto Paladins had the night off.
