Two Games Along the Mississippi Go to Overtime

The New Orleans Buccaneers and the St. Louis Bombers hosted games that would both go to overtime. The Bucs won their matchup against the Seattle Thunder, 104 -98, while the Bombers won their game against the Miami Floridians, 123-118.

New Orleans continues to be a nightmare to play defensively, as Larry Brown, Jrue Holiday, and Anthony Davis (left) had big games on defense, holding Seattle to under 100 points even with an extra period to play with. The Thunder's Shawn Kemp and Ricky Pierce's combined shooting 17-for-28 wouldn't be enough, as the Bucs now sport a Western Conference best 9-1 record.

St. Louis' Zelmo Beaty was too much for Florida, scoring 24 pts with 9 rebounds & 4 blocks to boot.

In other games, The Vancouver Mounties defeated the Oklahoma City Stampede by nearly 20 points, while the Los Angeles Magic edged the San Diego Admirals, 106-102. The Admirals' DeAndre Jordan nearly single-handily carried San Diego to victory with his 15 PT, 22 REB performance. The Mounties sit alone on top of the Northwest Division with a 6-3 record, with the 4-4 Minnesota Wildcats sitting in 2nd, 1 1/2 games out.
