November 17th (Part 1)

San Francisco Escapes Tough Game from K.C.

The San Francisco Dragons traveled to Kansas City, and nearly lost the game to a Kings team that sat with only two wins. The Dragons entered the game with only two losses, improving from 7-2 to 8-2. Oscar Robertson and the Kansas City Kings did everything they could to try to pull off the upset, and even led the Dragons at the half by 3 points. Klay Thompson (pictured above) hit 6 three-pointers on his way to 29 points, while teammate Nate Thurmond continues to be a monster on the boards with 20 rebounds for the night.

Meanwhile, the Indianapolis Crusaders who lost their first 8 games, have now won on back-to-back occasions, first defeating the Atlanta Revolution and now the struggling Tampa Bay Titans, 119- 94. Once again, Indy won at home, and once again was led by Detlef Schrempf.

Serious case of deja vu? Both the Detroit Motors and the Las Vegas Jacks defeated their rivals for the second consecutive time. Detroit defeated the Milwaukee Hawks two days ago, 109-105, and defeated them tonight by 11 points (102-91). The Jacks defeated the Phoenix Heat for the 2nd time in 3 nights, by the scores of 122-112 and 109-103. With their victory against the Heat, Las Vegas moves ahead of Phoenix in the Pacific Division standings at 7-3.

Las Vegas has now won 5 of their last 6 games.
