San Diego, Kansas City Finally Win!
Both Teams Snap their Losing Streaks

Both the San Diego Admirals and the Kansas City Kings ended their season-starting losing streaks. The Admirals defeated the Salt Lake City Hornets in Salt Lake, 118-104, while the Kings won in front of a home crown as they defeated the Denver Range, 105 -92.

Mark Jackson shot well from the field (20 points) on 9-for-13 shooting, while hooking up teammates on 14 assists. Lou Williams for the third time this season has scored 30 points, while he continues to hover around the top 10 in scoring (23.4 PPG); Williams is also shooting 49% from the field & 42% from beyond the arc. The Admirals shot 53% (9-for-17) from three-point land, while Williams made 5 three's out of 8 attempts.
SD - Mark Jackson: 20 PTS (9-13 FG), 14 AST & 2 STL
SD - Lou Williams: 30 PTS (9-13 FG / 5-8 3PT) & 14 REB
SD - DeAndre Jordan: 15 PTS (7-8 FG) & 14 REB
SLC - Karl Malone: 27 PTS (12-17 FG) & 4 REB
SLC - John Stockton: 17 PTS & 10 AST
SLC - David Wesley: 13 PTS (6-10 FG) & 5 REB

The Kansas City Kings finally got to send their fans home with a victory in their pocket. Oscar Robertson had a stellar game by scoring a career-high 37 points, while collecting 8 assists & 6 steals along the way. For Robertson it's a back-to-back 30 point performance, while being satisfied, leading the Kings to their first victory.
Behind Robertson, Jerry Lucas added 16 points, 13 rebounds & 3 blocks, while Walt Williams scored 8 points, 5 rebounds, 2 blocks & a steal.
The Kings feel that they should be a better team than their record reflects. Two of the Kings' six losses were by 4 points or less, while their trade acquisition of Nikola Vucevic (from Tampa Bay) has so far been a big disappointment. Vucevic is only averaging 7.0 PPG & 6.6 RPG this season, a far cry from expectations of a player that cost the Kings a 1st Round Pick next season.
The Kings hope this victory can get them heading in the right direction.
